As a Distribution Team Member, you’ll have the opportunity to work collaboratively alongside others to prepare items for shipment and arrange products onto vehicles for transportation; all while utilizing safe work practices and producing quality results to meet the Company’s on time in full (OTIF) objectives.

What You'll Do

  • Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers, by hand or other equipment.
  • Applies proper ergonomic techniques to maneuver material weighing more than 90 pounds throughout the warehouse and onto vehicles
  • Scans labels to document placement of product
  • Work effectively in teams to meet company objectives.
  • Compares items packed with customer’s order and other identifying data
  • Identify missing, lost, or damaged material and immediately notify Supervisor
  • Completes storage and material flow/shipment tasks, and develops an understanding of packaging needs
  • Ensures all products are safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping
  • Demonstrates safe operation of Material Handling equipment
  • Assists with the training of newly hired Team Members
  • Follows a range of mandatory work instructions to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.
  • Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
  • Follow a range of mandatory procedures and methods of work (including use of personal protection equipment where relevant) to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.
  • Able to identify incoming quality issues and notify correct parties for resolution.
  • Able to perform accurate system transactions with a hand-held scanner or at computer terminal with a 100% accuracy.
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization’s policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must demonstrate understanding of shipping menus on AS400 and product knowledge
  • Must be comfortable operating conveyance equipment
  • Reliable and punctual in reporting for scheduled work
  • Able to carry out the physical requirements of the position
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written in English
  • Logistical understanding and reasoning skills preferred

  • Constant standing up to 12 of hours a day
  • Constant walking throughout the assembly facility
  • Frequent bending/stooping/squatting
  • Frequent reaching overhead when handling material
  • Frequent pushing with minimal or maximum force to maneuver the glass down the production line on rollers, or pushing carts
  • Frequent lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling 60 lbs. to 100 lbs. Unassisted
  • Occasional lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling 100 lbs. to 200 lbs. Assisted
  • Frequent moving up to 500 lbs. with a dolly assist
  • Frequent repetitive hand/foot/head/neck movements required Frequent standing/walking/bending/stooping/squatting Occasional reaching overhead and away from body
  • Constant repetitive Hand/Foot/Head/Neck movements required
  • Other: Temperatures will vary. Dusty and noisy environment when operating machines and tools. Steel-toe safety shoes, ear and eye protection required.
