Quality Administrator 1

Under limited supervision, administers quality activities for specific product lines by performing the following duties personally or through others.

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Support the manufacturing lines at all times.
• Assist other Quality Assurance department personnel by covering other specific product lines when necessary.
• Monitors quality criteria for specific product lines.
• May recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
• Participates in cross-functional team meetings as needed with other personnel to discuss quality issues on assigned production lines.
• Provides occasional training to production workers to help identify defective raw materials and finished goods.
• Conducts process and product audits and documents results. (Audits may require being outside.)
• Presents Quality Charts to document Returned Merchandise Authorizations, resolved service calls and Quality Hotline issues.
• Develops and makes visual displays depicting good and bad parts, e.g., acceptable and unacceptable metal.
• Quarantines and oversees disposition of non-compliant material.

Monitor accumulation of scrap material on an on-going basis.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of EQMS and ERP software.
• Beginner or better level of competence using all MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Able to coordinate multiple departments for a single outcome.
• Familiar with the use of standard measuring equipment (e.g., tape measure and calipers).

LANGUAGE / COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

• Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels and functional areas of the business.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, fractions, averaging and, percentages.

REASONING ABILITY

• Ability to work independently with limited guidance from supervisor.
• Problem resolution capabilities.
• Able to make common sense decisions based on knowledge at hand.
• Can differentiate between black/white specifications and business decisions.
• Able to follow a logical train of thought to recreate events.
• Ability to forecast outcomes based on different input and actions (action-reaction)
